After trying different sports, Thibault turned to a career as an amateur footballer. When making a choice between becoming a professional footballer and a journalist, the qualities tipped the scales to one side. Here he is now in the editorial staff of 10 Sport, after a diploma obtained at the International Institute of Communication in Paris.
A prodigy from the ASSE training center, Mathis Amougou is now under contract until 2026. A talent that the Greens hope to keep as long as possible, working on an extension to do so. And to achieve its goals, the Saint-Etienne club would be ready to spend a lot of money.
At 18 years old, Mathis Amougou made a great impression with ASSE at the start of the season. A talent that the big European clubs already covet. Thus, this summer, there was particular talk of interest from Bayer Leverkusenbut the Greens immediately closed the door. HAS Saint-Etiennewe want to Amougou and that's why we want to offer him a new contract.
ASSE makes its offer
Wanting to keep Mathis Amougoul‘ASSE would offer him an extension of 3 years, i.e. until 2029, according to The Teamwith a nice salary increase as a result. Indeed, the Greens would offer to triple his salary, going from around €15,000 gross monthly to therefore €45,000 gross monthly. And to this could be added participation and merit bonuses.
Amougou only wants 2 more years
L’ASSE would therefore pull out all the stops to Mathis Amougouwho would not be convinced. Having in particular a possible departure next summer, the Stéphanois would be ready to extend, but only for two seasons. This is how the negotiations are currently at a standstill between the‘ASSE et Amougou.
