the XXL figures of PSG at the break

This December 18, PSG won 4-2 on the lawn of Louis II. Leader of Ligue 1 at the break with ten points ahead of runner-up , Saint-Germain recorded some good stats after these first 16 days of Ligue 1.

As Opta reveals, Paris Saint-Germain have not lost any of their first 16 league matches this season (12 wins, 4 draws). This is the sixth time in its history that PSG has managed to record such a performance. Moreover, it is a good omen since the last 10 teams to have achieved such a feat won Ligue 1 at the end of the season.

With 24 wins and 8 draws, there are now 32 matches that the Parisians have not lost away from home in Ligue 1. The last Parisian defeat dates back to February 11, 2023, against Monaco (3-1). As a reminder, AC Milan holds the record with 38 matches without defeat away from home, between 1991-1993.

When it comes to beating Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain does not do things by halves as Opta demonstrates.

Finally, two Parisians are in good shape this season: Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi. The first scored 4 goals and delivered 8 key passes in 15 matches, which is better than his performance last season where he was involved in 11 goals (3 goals, 8 assists) after 26 matches played. With still 18 days to go, Ousmane Dembélé has time to refine his statistics.

As for Achraf Hakimi, the Moroccan has delivered 7 assists in all competitions this season. No other player in Ligue 1 does better than the full-back. He also surpasses Scherrer Maxwell as the Parisian defender who has made the most assists in the 21st century, just that.

Paris Saint-Germain therefore ends this first part of the season on a good basis. Despite the loss of Kylian Mbappé and complicated performances in the Champions League, PSG remains no less impressive in Ligue 1, even with teams in form like Olympique de Marseille or AS Monaco.
