At the end of October, the commercial court considered that it had sufficient guarantees to authorize the continuation of operations until January 30, 2025. A decision made possible in particular by the factoring of a bill remaining to be collected on the sale of Zuriko Davitashvili to Saint-Étienne and by the collection of part of the percentage negotiated on the transfer of Jules Koundé.
Lopez will have to put it back in the pot
But the DNCG looks at the entire season. And it will take a financial contribution from Gérard Lopez to complete the budget. Last summer, when the receivership was opened, the shareholder injected one million euros. According to his lawyer Laurent Cotret and the judicial administrator who follows the club, both cited in the judgment of October 29, he fully intends to repeat the operation by the end of the calendar year.
The businessman is still looking for investors but the case is unlikely to move forward as long as the club's debt (estimated at 118 million euros at the beginning of August by the court, but lower than this figure according to the the entourage of Gérard Lopez) will not have been significantly reduced. Negotiations with creditors are expected to begin very soon.
