PSG regains its strength before challenging Bayern Munich in the Champions League this Tuesday.
Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to cross swords with Bayern Munich this Tuesday in the Champions League, and two well-known faces will return for the occasion. This Monday, the Parisian club revealed the list of players called up for this fifth day of the group stage, marked by three major comebacks.
Presnel Kimpembe, away from the field for more than a year after a rupture of the right Achilles tendon in February 2023, is operational again. At his side, Gonçalo Ramos, recovered from the sprained left ankle contracted in August against Le Havre (4-1), as well as Nuno Mendes, who missed the match against Toulouse (3-0) Friday in Ligue 1 at due to a sprained ankle suffered during the rally with Portugal, will also travel to Munich.
Bad news for Hernandez
On the other hand, Lucas Hernandez remains a notable absentee. Victim of a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the Champions League semi-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund (0-1) last May, the French international still has to wait. Indeed, his recovery is complicated by a viral syndrome, which postpones his return to competition.
We also note the absence of young Senny Mayulu. The young French left winger, injured in the calf during the French U20 team rally, suffers from a muscle injury which will sideline him “for several weeks”.
