Holder of a Master's degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents' dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.
Pierre Aristouy has not digested his dismissal in November 2023. During an interview with Ouest-France this Saturday, the former coach of FC Nantes let his anger and frustration burst forth, while his successor, Antoine Kombouaré, is going through a difficult time in Ligue 1, but retains some support from the Kita.
This Sunday, FC Nantes faced Le Havre. This same meeting was held almost a year ago at La Beaujoire and resulted in the departure of Pierre Aristouy. After four matches without a victory, the Kita had made the decision to lay off the technician and call on Antoine Kombouaré, still in place, but more than ever in the hot seat. Long in conflict with its former leaders, Aristouy struggles to calm his anger.
Aristouy is paying les Kita
“What bothers me with these leaders (the Kita family) is that if out of the 19 strikes that day against Les Havrais, one had returned, I would not have been dismissed at that time. This is the result of a lack of strategy and visibility. Ultimately, I would almost perhaps have understood more that they sacked me after Metz (1-3 defeat, the week before, Editor's note)” confided the technician during an interview to West France.
Aristouy expresses his dissatisfaction
The technician struggles to explain this difference in treatment with Kombouarestill in office. “ We remained in three matches without a victory, that was a fourth with Le Havre. But, today, if I counted correctly the current FCN is at 8 matches without success, right? Would I have survived 8 matches without a victory? I feel that management was waiting for a victory against Le Havre to forgive me for the setback in Metz. No one from management goes to the locker rooms. I have no exchange with her as we could have had (…) I understand immediately (her dismissal, Editor's note) when I see the name of Franck Kita appear on my mobile, the following Wednesday morning, when I go to Jonelière » he declared.
