Announced as a complementary player at the start of the season, Louis Mouton is slowly establishing himself within Olivier Dall'Oglio's group. The midfielder trained at ASSE presented himself at a press conference this Thursday.
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “In Pau? On a human level, I met, beyond the players, a truly incredible staff and coach. They immediately put me at ease. However, I arrived during the season. I was really welcomed there. I had a wonderful year. I loved it. They didn't know me there. And in Saint-Etienne, they knew me as a young person, I had faults, I had qualities. It’s all evolving, actually.”
Mouton grew up in Pau
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “The coaches, sometimes, keep images that they saw of you 3, 4, 5 years ago, when no one there knew me. In Pau, I had to redo everything. Henri Saivet? He was truly like a big brother to me. We still write to each other a lot. He pushed me. I really had a lot of fun there, and I progressed. Humanly, I have progressed as a man. As a player, it also made me progress.”
The future at ASSE
Louis Mouton (ASSE midfielder): “End of contract in June? In football, everything goes so fast… We don't know. So far, things are going pretty well for me. Now the club has its project. We, the players, are here to perform well on the weekend. I don't know what's next for me. If it's here, great. If it's somewhere else, it will be like that. I will continue to give 100% for the club I am part of. For the moment, it’s ASSE, so 200% with Sainté. »
Will the future of Louis Mouton be written in Forez? Wait and see…
