[ASSE-MHSC] Wahbi Khazri, Arnaud Nordin and Falaye Sacko, a return to the Cauldron between challenges and emotions

This weekend, three former Stéphanois, but Pailladins since 2022, will return to the Chaudron: Wahbi Khazri (4 seasons at ASSE), Arnaud Nordin (7 seasons since the U17 category) and Falaye Sacko (1/2 season on loan) . A special meeting for these three players, who left Saint-Étienne in fairly catastrophic circumstances, following relegation to Ligue 2.

Two years later, the Greens returned to Ligue 1, and the calendar offers Khazri, Nordin and Sacko the opportunity to return to the field which will inevitably have marked them to different degrees. Among them, Arnaud Nordin will undoubtedly be the most moved to find his former supporters. He, who closely followed the progress of Saint-Étienne during the promotion play-offs, has never hidden his attachment to the club that saw him flourish. He even traveled to Forez to attend crucial meetings. Once the whistle blows, he, like his teammates, will have to put aside his feelings to concentrate on this crucial meeting for our Pailladins. Dead last and facing a direct competitor in the fight for maintenance, poor performance is not permitted. For Sacko too but especially Khazri, the Cauldron will evoke many memories, but this time, these former Stéphanois will fight for Montpellier. Between personal attachment and collective issue, these reunions promise to be intense and will certainly leave lasting emotions on both sides.
