Several lessons are learned. First: anti-Jewish opinions are clearly on the rise. To measure it, the institute evaluates adherence to 16 anti-Semitic stereotypes. “When an individual adheres to many items, it is a sign of structured thinking,” analyzes the sounder. Second: hatred of Jews has taken on a worrying facelift in recent years. Only 53% of 18-24 year olds think that the majority of Jews are well integrated into the population, compared to 84% of French people. And 17% of those under 35 believe that their departure from France would be… a good thing!

The phenomenon is powerful among supporters of La France insoumise (LFI), 20% of whom consider the departure of Jews desirable – compared to 15% among those of the National Rally.
“It’s a complete upheaval of the political map,” notes Brice Teinturier, who describes a “historic reversal” : LFI now disputes with the far right the leadership of anti-Semitic prejudices. “A third of Insoumis sympathizers adhere to 9 or more anti-Jewish stereotypes. » In total, 55% of LFI followers check at least 6 boxes in the inventory of ordinary anti-Semitism.
