Olympique de Marseille is carefully following the Malian market. After having been linked to the young hopeful, Amadou Soumaré, the Marseille club is this time linked to a more experienced winger for the winter transfer window.
According to information from Africa Foot, OM would be very interested in a certain Ousmane Coulibaly, alias Kalaba, who plays at Stade Malien, after having worn the colors of Djoliba for a long time.
OM: an offer of €2 million already sent?
The media specializing in African football is even already talking about a first offer made by the French club for the 22-year-old winger. It would be around 2 million euros for this right winger, who can also play up front.
Information to be taken with a grain of salt, because Ousmane Coulibaly is a player on whom there is little data. Africa Foot, which also gives 20 years to the 22-year-old player, still assures that Kalaba has just achieved “a remarkable season, playing 23 matches, during which he scored 9 goals and provided 5 assists” I am Mali.
A really imaginable deal?
Note that Transfermarkt does not give any market value to the 22-year-old player. Seeing OM spend two million euros on a player playing in Mali who is relatively little known still seems difficult to imagine.
Especially since, without the European Cup, Roberto De Zerbi does not rotate his squad and Ousmane Coulibaly would come up against XXL competition on the wings with Mason Greenwood, Jonathan Rowe and Luis Henrique. He would also take the potential minutes of the kids, Enzo Sternal and Keyliane Abdallah.
Real Sociedad also interested
Still according to the same source, Ousmane Coulibaly would also be on the shelves of Real Sociedad. The Malian winger would be close to a departure this winter with an agreement which could be concluded in the coming days.
It therefore remains to be seen whether OM, who would still be on the lookout in the Georges Mikautadze file, are really interested in this Malian winger and will take action this winter to recruit him.
Passionate about sport and from Toulouse, I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
