It is a surprise, according to the collective of opponents of the La Voie est Libre project, the Public Rapporteur has issued his report requesting the cancellation of the environmental authorization of the A69 for the absence of compelling reasons of major public interest.

According to the collective of opponents of the A69 construction site La Voie est Libre, the Public Rapporteur has issued his report requesting the cancellation of the environmental authorization of the A69 for the absence of compelling reasons of major public interest.
On Monday, November 25, the Toulouse administrative court must examine in hearing the appeal for cancellation of the environmental authorization for the A69.
In a press release, La Voie est Libre indicates that “the Public Rapporteur follows the reasoning of the opponents of the A69” and that his conclusions are final: “the orders authorizing the construction of the A69 motorway and the widening of the A680 must be cancelled.
The collective explains that this proposal from the magistrate “confirms what opponents of the project have been denouncing for years: the absence of a compelling reason of major public interest, justifying the destruction of protected species.”
The Toulouse administrative court, which is due to rule on Monday November 25 on the A69 construction site, is not required to follow the conclusions of the Public Rapporteur. If, however, it went in the same direction, opponents believe that “such a decision would put a stop to the A69 construction site, which is still far from being completed.”
