Paris Saint-Germain could strike a big blow on the transfer market by offering Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian winger from Naples, highly coveted for several months.
According to the latest information from the Italian media, Naples would now be open to a sale of its nugget, a position different from that adopted last summer, when the Italian club demanded more than 100 million euros to sell its jewel.
PSG, faced with lackluster performances from Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé, sees in Kvaratskhelia the opportunity to add a world-class offensive player to its squad. However, the main obstacle remains the negotiation with Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Naples, known for his firmness in discussions.
To facilitate this operation, PSG could include Milan Skriniar in the transaction. The Slovak defender, in difficulty this season under the orders of Luis Enrique, is no longer part of the Parisian club's plans. His high salary (9 million euros per year) also constitutes a burden that PSG wishes to alleviate. This is where Antonio Conte, the current coach of Naples, comes in, who is said to have a strong interest in Skriniar. The player's experience and defensive profile appeal to the Italian technician, which opens the way for an exchange between the two clubs.
A transfer in 2025?
Although Kvaratskhelia has not yet extended with Napoli, a sale seems more likely for the summer of 2025 if negotiations do not conclude by then. According to Italian journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, a deal including Skriniar could significantly reduce PSG's spending on recruiting the Georgian.
