This summer, a rumor circulated about a fantastic offer from Paris Saint-Germain for Lamine Yamal, who was coming out of a sparkling Euro 2024. The amount of 250 million euros was mentioned.
An offer of €200 million for Yamal who came “from France”
This information, which had therefore been taken with a grain of salt, given the amount mentioned, had never been confirmed by a reliable media. But it has just been confirmed in person by someone close to Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona.
“The president has already said that he had an offer of 250 million for Lamine Yamal that he rejected and that he never considered it. It was an offer from France. When you have money and you have the means to pay, then you can hope to try to sign everything,” explained Enric Masip, advisor to the Catalan president, on the show El Chiringuito on Monday.
An offer refused by Barça
Obviously in France, only PSG is capable of sending such a sum for a single player. There is therefore almost no doubt that this offer of 250 million euros comes from the capital club, which wanted to acquire the Catalan jewel, Lamine Yamal.
PSG surely wanted to make him the new star of their project, following the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid. But this offer was immediately refused by FC Barcelona, which does not want to let go of its new 17-year-old star.
Passionate about sport and from Toulouse, I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
