Let's hope the Mastiffs beat so that the party is not spoiled… Because it is well after the match that the famous DJ will perform.

After 's 50th anniversary celebrated this weekend at La Mosson, it's LOSC's turn to celebrate its anniversary, in this case the 80th, on the sidelines of the Rennes reception coming up on Sunday. From noon, three hours before kick-off, a DJ set and entertainment will be held on the stadium square, then an XXL arrival of players and glorious alumni is announced on the red carpet from 1 p.m. . At 3 p.m., it's time for the biggest tifo in the history of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium, inaugurated in 2012 and which has since become Decathlon Arena. And at 5 p.m., right after the match, Martin Solveig will hold his concert directly on the pitch, in the middle of a big light show.

“We are carefully preparing the climax of this great moment”

An event that even extends well beyond the sports arena and extends to the entire city, as the club explains: “It's not every day that we blow out our 80 candles. To mark with a white stone this important milestone in its history, the LOSC has for several weeks redoubled its initiatives: statue of the Mastiff at the Vieille Bourse, Goddess wearing the '80 years' jersey, exhibition at the Jean-Baptiste Lebas park, flaunting in the city center, monumental poster on the Grand Place, anniversary box set and associated merchandising range, among other historical content available on the club's media… we are carefully preparing the culmination of this great moment in the form of a party popular.”

As for the former glories expected before the match, around a hundred are announced. Mickaël Landreau, Vahid Halilhodzic and Grégory Wimbée have already relayed their memories on the official LOSC website, which suggests that they will be part of the celebration. As well as many 2011 and 2021 French champions without a doubt, why not Eden Hazard, Adil Rami, Rio Mavuba and Rudi Garcia on one side as well as Mike Maignan, José Fonte (the day after AC Milan – Juventus in Serie A and Casa Pia – Chaves in the Portuguese Cup), Burak Yilmaz and Christophe Galtier on the other?
