Among the most decisive players in the LOSC locker room, Edon Zhegrova recently equaled Burak Yilmaz, whose exploits left their mark in Lille.
It's been almost three years, and an arrival from FC Basel, that Edon Zhegrova has defended the colors of LOSC across France and in the four corners of the continent. This year again, under the orders of Bruno Genesio, he plays a leading role in the great first part of the season achieved by the Mastiffs, fourth in Ligue 1 and author of repeated exploits on the European scene. These different games allowed him to reach the milestone of 100 appearances in the Lille jersey (103), but also 25 goals scored. The Kosovar also equals Burak Yilmaz on this level.
During a trip to Madrid, to face Atlético, Edon Zhegrova restarted the Lille machine by equalizing on the hour mark (61′). It was his 25th goal scored in Lille which allowed him to climb little by little in the hierarchy of Lille scorers in the 21st century. In addition to getting on the level of the Turkish veteran, he is within shooting range of Peter Odewingie (27 goals), or even an attractive quartet made up of Michel Bastos and Pierre-Alain Frau (29 goals). The season promises to be long and there will be many achievements.
