Promoted to captainMarseille Olympic last summer, Leonardo Balerdi struggled to confirm his excellent last campaign. Since the start of the season, the Argentine central defender has made numerous small errors, between his expulsion in Lyon and insufficient defensive performances like his match against Auxerre on Friday (1-3).
However, the former Borussia Dortmund player does not shy away from his responsibilities in front of the microphones. Involved in his mission in Marseille, Balerdi is also taking advantage of this international break to regain some confidence with the Argentine selection.

Within the Argentina team, Leonardo Balerdi is not really the most highly rated player, to say the least. The Albiceleste has some well-known virtuosos in its ranks, starting with Lionel Messi, but this Wednesday, it was the OM player who put on the show.
During a filmed training session, Balerdi scored a very nice goal. The central defender of Olympique de Marseille performed a superb acrobatic return to find the net during a classic opposition with his teammates.
