Single tickets, subscriptions and the price of the RhônExpress shuttle will increase on January 1, 2025. Sytral has also set the prices for the new river shuttle and the division into five zones of the future unified network.
The Sytral council, the Lyon public transport organization, will ratify its prices for the year 2025 this Thursday. Due to the increase in network charges linked to inflation, ticket prices will increase between 2.6% and 2.7%, indicates Sytral in its deliberation.
If the prices of subscriptions for 4-10 years, 11-17, 18-25 and 26-27 do not change, unit tickets will increase from 2 to 2.10 euros. Booklets of 10 will go from 19.50 to 20 euros. The monthly subscription will increase from 72.60 to 74.10 euros. The senior subscription will increase by 70 cents to reach 37 euros. Among the biggest increases, we can note the increase in the Tick'Air ticket, activated in the event of air pollution to encourage the use of public transport, from 3 to 3.50 euros (+16.67%) .

RhônExpress, even more expensive shuttle
We also know the prices of the future river shuttle which will open on the Saône from 1is June 2025. A line which operates from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and which will be accessible at no additional cost to all holders of a subscription to the public transport network. For other users, the one-way ticket will be set at 3 euros and the return trip at 5.
The RhônExpress, a shuttle which connects Part-Dieu station to Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, will also see its prices increase. This line, one of the most expensive in Europe, and whose contract with Vinci was terminated in 2020 by former president David Kimelfeld to lower the price, will see its cost drop from 16.70 to 17. 10 euros at a distributor and 15.20 to 16 euros online. Round trips will respectively increase by 70 cents and 1.30 euros to reach 29.80 and 28 euros.
Five new zones
Another small revolution, due to the merger of the networks of the metropolis and the department: the creation of 5 zones, unlike Paris which will end its zonal tariff from January 1st. In these areas (see slideshow) different prices will be applied depending on 4 families. A “zones 1+2” rate (2.1 euros), giving access to the transport offer within the perimeter of the extended Lyon metropolis. An “all zones” rate (3.7 euros), giving access to the transport offer throughout the territory. Then prices for two zones outside zone 1 (center of the Lyon metropolis) (1.6 euros) and all zones except zone 1 (2.5 euros).
