AS Saint-Étienne will have to do without Mickaël Nadé for a short while following a right knee injury suffered during the derby against Olympique Lyonnais.

The Greens central defender was injured in the final minutes of an intense match, lost 0-1, after a fierce duel with striker Ernest Nuamah. It’s a hard blow for the Saint-Etienne team. Initially, the seriousness of his injury had caused great concern within the club, with the first examinations raising fears of a possible rupture of the cruciate ligaments. This is ultimately not the case.

Bad news for the Greens

Fortunately for the Forez club, the MRI revealed an external sprain of the lateral knee ligament, a more reassuring diagnosis which should allow Nadé to return before the end of the year. This absence, however, compromises Saint-Étienne's plans, especially since the player has established himself within the squad since the start of the current sporting year. He has eight appearances in all competitions for one goal scored and one assist offered. After a start to the championship without a start, he joined the starting lineup and has started a series of starts since the defeat against , showing a remarkable rise in power in the Saint-Etienne defense.

According to information from the Team, the central defender will be absent from the field for four weeks. Despite the pain, Mickaël Nadé remained on the pitch until the final whistle, illustrating his commitment and courage in the face of adversity. His dedication has not escaped the supporters, who hope to see him again quickly to strengthen the Greens' rearguard at the end of the year for the team.
