Already the scorer of 23 goals in all competitions this season, Viktor Gyokeres is the striker that all of Europe is vying for. FC Barcelona is one of the contenders, counting on its historic equipment supplier to make the difference.

No striker can keep up with Viktor Gyokeres this season. Already very effective last season (43 goals), the Swede has set the bar even higher since August. He has already scored 23 goals in all competitions with Sporting, including 16 in the Portuguese championship and 5 in the Champions League. Author of a hat-trick against Manchester City on Tuesday evening, Gyokeres has all of Europe at his feet. The competition will be fierce in the transfer window to recruit him. PSG is very active in the Gyokeres file and seems to be ahead of its rivals but FC Barcelona has the keys to turn everything around.

Barça-Gyokeres-Nike, the winning trio?

In debt for several seasons, the Catalan club has just received a huge boost from the United States. Indeed, Nike has extended its partnership with the Blaugrana for the next 14 years. Barça's equipment supplier since 1998, Nike renewed its contract for 127 million euros per year and a large signing bonus. Barça is guaranteed to receive 1.7 billion euros from the comma mark. Significant help in transferring players and in particular Viktor Gyokeres.

The Swede is the priority of Barça and its sporting director Deco according to The National. Gyokeres is seen as the successor to Robert Lewandowski (36 years old) in Catalonia. With the financial contribution from Nike, Barcelona is ready to pay the 70 million euros demanded by Sporting Portugal. Barça is also counting on Nike to influence the choice of Viktor Gyokeres since the Swedish striker is under contract with the American firm. A perfect plan even if Nike is also the official equipment supplier of SG.
