On Forever radio, the journalist Julien Béedealt with the entry into play of Soufiane
Bahassa
with the Girondins de against .

“Not only is Soufiane one of the positive points, with his entry into play, but because he has the quality compared to others, and especially the impact when he plays… He accelerates, he shows desire… In ten minutes, he did more than Amadou Diallo and Travis Mutyaba combined. He knew he was going to lose balls, but he went for it. I found that at the very beginning of his adventure in Bordeaux, he watched himself play a little. These were the echoes that I had, and that I was able to see when he played at Lège-Cap Ferret. That he sometimes overplayed… But there, Soufiane Bahassa, at the moment in Bordeaux, besides Andy Carroll, obviously, he is the best player at the moment. Clearly, today, it’s THE player who makes the difference, it’s the X factor.”

But then why isn't he playing?

“That’s the big question. So, is it a desire to play more on the wings with small, impactful players? But Soufiane Bahassa is too… We can ask ourselves the question about Bruno Irles' choice not to put him more on the field, while today, for me, he is above a Travis Mutyaba , who has proven nothing since he arrived in Bordeaux. Amadou Diallo is different, he has shown several times that he has this ability to really outdo himself, notably with Driss Trichard: it works. So perhaps it should be Bahassa who starts in place of Mutyaba on the right side. We can clearly see that he makes much more in terms of impact, in desire, in generosity: we need players like that.”
