At the end of last week, we learned that the Coupe de France meeting between FC Bressuire and the Girondins de Bordeaux was going to be broadcast by France Télévisions, which had announced, via a press release, that it would broadcast this match, and at the same time announcing the date on which it would be played, that is to say Saturday November 16 at 1:35 p.m. Only, this would not have happened yet… Moreover, on the FFF website, it is announced that this match is scheduled for Sunday November 17, 2024, at 2 p.m.
Indeed, in La Nouvelle République, we learn that for the moment nothing has been made official. This match should actually not take place on Saturday because the Girondins de Bordeaux are playing a late match on the second day of National 2 on Wednesday, at Poiré-sur-Vie. And, with regard to recovery times, this seems to be fair.
For the moment and this weekend, FC Bressuire had not been informed of a broadcast from France Télévisions and in particular from France 3 Régions, as the President of the Club points out. Stéphane Viault : “We have no information on this.”
Finally, and as the latter indicated a few days ago, the wish is not to play behind closed doors. It remains to be seen what the Prefecture's decision will be. But obviously, for an amateur club and with regard to the revenue which represents a good part of the budget for a season, it is always desired that the public can come. For this, Bressuire would like the match to be played on Sunday at 6 p.m. instead of 2 p.m…. To be continued…
