It's a very sad end to the adventure for Marcelo, the legendary left back of Brazil and Real Madrid who, after a one-season detour at Olympiakos, decided to come full circle for the end of his career with a signing at Fluminense, where the young Marcelo had revealed himself before making the plunge for Spain. A year and a half after his signing, the full-back is officially fired from his club, which has just announced the termination of his contract!
Clash with his coach because of a replacement
In question, a lunar collision last night during the match between Fluminense and Gremio where Marcelo, substitute, seemed quite reluctant when coming on. After a clear “no” of the head and exchanged words, his coach Mano Menezes simply decided, even pushing his player physically, to cancel his entry into play. Obviously the act was too much since the Brazilian club therefore announced, the next morning in Brazil, the end of its adventure.
