It is not just behind, to strengthen one of the most permeable defenses in Ligue 1, that ASSE is looking at this transfer market. According to the media 225foot, the Greens are also looking towards the attack and towards Ligue 2 and the Merlus of FC Lorient. Their target? The 22-year-old striker, Mohamed Bamba.
ASSE looks towards FC Lorient to strengthen itself
Arriving in Brittany in the winter 2024 transfer window from the Austrian club, Wolfsberger AC, for compensation of 5 million euros, Bamba has since gained value on the transfer market despite the sporting relegation of FC Lorient in Ligue 2. The current estimate ranges from 5.8 million euros from Football Benchmark to a range of 9 to 12 million euros from the International Center for the Study of Sport (CIES). Between, there is Transfermarkt, at 6 million euros.
Mohamed Bamba is under contract until 2028
Contractually, Mohamed Bamba is linked to Lorient until the end of the 2027-2028 season. These are three and a half that will have to be compensated, if it has to be sold this winter. The newspaper L'Equipe estimated this winter in its annual survey at 60,000 euros gross per month, but with the decline of the club, it is possible that the remuneration has fallen. The media 225foot estimates it to be half as much this season.
