Barry Cohen, chairman of the supervisory board of OM since 2022 and close collaborator of Frank McCourt, owner of the club, has decided to retire on the occasion of his 80th birthday. An American and faithful ally of McCourt since the club's takeover in 2016, Cohen has played an essential role in the management and development of the club. His relationship with Pablo Longoria, president of OM, and his involvement with McCourt Global demonstrate his influence and his commitment to the club.

The McCourt Global group also expressed its “deep gratitude” for its years of dedication in a message relayed by La Provence. To succeed him, Jeff Ingram, former vice-president of the supervisory board and also close to McCourt, takes the helm of the OM supervisory body. Ingram, also very involved in the management of the club, will continue the work started by Cohen. He will also go to Marseille with McCourt to attend OM's next match against .
