PSG: Disaster in the Milan Skriniar case

PSG would like to get rid of Milan Skriniar during the next transfer window. But while several clubs are interested, it is ultimately unlikely to see the Slovak international leave .

Used three times by Luis Enrique since the start of the season, Milan Skriniar will not be retained by Paris Saint-Germain in the event of an offer during the winter transfer window. And the capital club will not be very demanding in parting with its experienced 29-year-old central defender, even opening the door to a loan with partial salary coverage. The fact remains that according to L'Equipe, the departure of the former Inter Milan captain is far from materializing. The national daily reveals that several clubs are interested in the player. Juventus Turin, Saudi clubs or even mid-table teams in the Premier League for example. All the lights seem green for a departure in January?

It's not that simple. Because for L’Equipe, the profile “so specific” of the player and his colossal salary estimated at 9.5 million euros per year are two almost crippling obstacles. “In this context, can Saudi Arabia be a solution? Unlikely last summer, this avenue can no longer be completely ruled out today” our colleague Hugo Delom decides. In England, clubs are interested but British managers still fear that his lack of speed will be prohibitive in a club such as the Premier League.

No exit door for Skriniar in January?

Finally, Juve is looking for a replacement for Bremer, but it is financially that this risks getting stuck for the Old Lady. Suffice to say that Paris Saint-Germain will perhaps have to resolve to keep their defender for six more months. Hoping that next summer, the situation can improve for Skriniar's departure. But the problem will be the same, in particular the colossal salary of a player under contract with PSG until 2028 and who has no intention of making financial concessions at all.
