We know it officially, the match between the
Blois Foot 41 and the Girondins de Bordeauxcounting for the 9th day of National 2, will therefore not be broadcast this Saturday. This is the first time this season that the FCGB did not find an agreement so that everyone can see the Navy and White
at work. In question? An agreement that was not reached between the broadcaster TV7 Bordeaux/South West via Free
Footand the local club. In The New Republic, the president François Jacob explains the reason.
“We are not opposed, we just asked for the modest sum of €1,500. Our club has limited resources and must spend more than €10,000 to ensure the security of this match. My position simply consists of partially amortizing unforeseen expenses because I have the responsibility to ensure the sustainability of the sports association that I chair. »
For its part, the club Girondins de Bordeaux
had communicated regarding this decision:
The teams of @tv7_sudouest will not be able to broadcast the match of the 9th day of National 2 between our club and @BloisFootball41.
The FFF has agreed to leave the broadcasting rights for the 2024/25 championship matches of National 2 and National 3 free, leaving the possibility for clubs to reach an agreement between themselves with interested broadcasters.
In this context, the Club has chosen since the start of the season to entrust the broadcasting of its matches to TV7 and @FreeFoot who bear all the production costs. This system allows Girondins de Bordeaux supporters to follow their team free of charge during its travels and offers the Club and its opponents unprecedented media coverage in National 2.
For the first time this season, no agreement could be reached with Blois Football 41.
We hope that this is only an isolated case and that the broadcast of the other away matches will resume from the next trip, once again allowing our supporters to see the performances of the Navy and White away from Bordeaux.
