In the midst of a period of transition, Paul Pogba already seems to have turned a page by leaving his villa on the heights of Turin, the same one which once housed Cristiano Ronaldo. This departure foreshadows an end to his career with Juventus, although the Frenchman is still under contract there. Following the reduction of his suspension for doping by the Lausanne CAS – from four years to eighteen months – Pogba will be able to return to the field next March, but his future with Juve remains uncertain. Indeed, although the player declared: 'I'm willing to give up some money to play for Juventus again'the club seems reluctant to continue the adventure, as technical director Cristiano Giuntoli underlined by affirming: “We have made significant investments, now there is no more room in the squad”. Furthermore, it is the Argentinian Nico Gonzalez, one of the club's recent recruits, who has moved into this luxurious residence, equipped with a swimming pool, an ultra-modern gym, and a laundry room worthy of the needs of a large family, as explained by Gazzetta Dello Sport.
A clear message
Pogba's departure from this residence perhaps symbolizes the conclusion of his Turin adventure. With a contract until 2026, estimated at 8 million euros per year plus bonus, Pogba must still find common ground with the leaders of Juve who are even considering, in the absence of agreement, a unilateral termination due to his suspension for doping. Meanwhile, lawyers for both parties are negotiating to avoid this last resort, while the player's entourage explores different options for the rest of his career, from Europe to the United States. Until March, Pogba is dedicated to personalized training, determined to stay in shape for his next challenge. A turning point for the French international, returning in 2022 as a free agent with great expectations, but overtaken by a series of obstacles which, visibly, did not diminish his desire to return to the field.
