Another beIN Sports debt has been revealed. It is more important than that contracted in Ligue 1.
beIN Sports and the Professional Football League are in a fight. The two institutions have not yet signed the famous contract relating to the broadcasting of Ligue1. The reason, a dispute over the possibility of broadcasting a match in collaboration with another paying actor. However, for the LFP, there must not be two broadcasters for championship matches.
In any case, the Qatari channel has not yet paid the 20 million to the LFP. However, beIN Sports owes money to another body. According to information from l’Equipe, beIN Sports is in arrears with UEFA regarding the latest Euro 2024.
The sum is 27 million euros and for the moment, the European body is refraining from reacting, claiming not to comment on “confidential commercial contracts”. But how can we put pressure on the Qatar chain whose president is Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the same one who is an influential member of the UEFA executive committee.
