It’s a little song that’s starting to get louder and louder. Since ESPN reported that the Warriors had inquired about the possibility of recovering LeBron James During the last trade deadline, the NBA world began to dream of an association between the two greatest players of their generation.
Formerly sworn enemies, long-time rivals who had to face each other in the Finals four times in a row, LeBron James et Stephen Curry took advantage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to develop their relationship, and embrace a common goal of winning gold in the City of Lights!
In front of the media yesterday, LeBron James was asked to reminisce about what looked like a wonderful “Happy Ending,” even if many hope there will be a sequel. “I have no idea”however, replied the “King” regarding a possible future association between Stephen Curry and him.
LeBron James, on the other hand, was able to look back on the highlights of the summer in a unique environment to collect his third Olympic gold medal, after Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
Esteem and respect
“I was super excited to finally be able to team up with him, in a win or die atmosphere. It’s like that when you’re at the Olympics. It was everything I ever dreamed of. I aspired to be part of this team and be alongside Steph.”he added. “These are great memories, something that I will keep from my Basketball career and for the rest of my life, that’s clear.”
Even if he often paid tribute to Stephen Curry when the two were opponents, LeBron James gave it another layer by recalling all the respect and esteem he could have for the career of the Warriors leader.
“I realize what Steph’ has done for this sport, for its franchise and for the community, and people all over the world. Just by his approach to the game and his way of being as a man, husband, father, son, all that”he continued.“So when you have that kind of respect for someone and you get to be around them every day, you see the way they work, the way they work on their craft, it’s pretty cool. You can just respect that.”
For the moment, however, a meeting in the NBA seems very complicated, between Stephen Curry, under contract until 2026/27, who said he wanted to remain a Warrior until the end of his career, while LeBron James comes from his side of realizing another dream that might have seemed impossible, the Lakers having drafted his son Bronny.
