On the night of Tuesday October 8 to Wednesday October 9, the Saint-Etienne stadium was vandalized, a month before the derby against OL. Stickers from the club were reportedly found on the scene.

On November 10, Olympique Lyonnais will host AS Saint-Étienne at Groupama Stadium, and tensions are already visible. One month before the derby, the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium was vandalized this Wednesday, October 9. According to The Parisian, anti-Stéphanois tags and homophobic insults were discovered on the club crest as well as on the shop window, notably with the inscription “Morts aux Verts”.

Stickers from the main group of Lyon supporters, the Bad Gones, were also found on site. A cleaning service was dispatched to remove these markings.

ASSE declared to RMC Sport that “the coat of arms which serves as a sign for the Greens store as well as the window stickers on the window will have to be redone”. The club also filed a complaint and requested access to video surveillance to identify the perpetrators.

On October 6, a fight between Lyon supporters broke out following their club’s victory against (2-0). A member of the Six-Nine Pirates, a new group of OL ultras, had been stabbed.

In view of the match on November 10, counting for the 11th day of Ligue 1, it is likely that Saint-Etienne supporters will be banned from traveling to Lyon.
