After PSG, the Monaco nugget pleases England

Author of an excellent start to the season on the Rock, Maghnes Akliouche has attracted attention in England. After Saint-Germain this summer, Newcastle would like to complete its transfer next January. But the Magpies should receive the same response as the Parisians.

With the confidence of coach Adi Hütter, Maghnes Akliouche takes on a new dimension at AS Monaco. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is regularly part of the Austrian’s eleven, including in the Champions League, a competition in which the Frenchman contributed to the victory against FC Barcelona (2-1). In his usual style, the young talent opened the scoring and brought the Blaugrana closer to their first defeat of the season.

Suffice to say that his performance did not go unnoticed in Europe. And more precisely in England where Newcastle would like to complete its transfer next January. According to information from Insider, it is mainly sports director Paul Mitchell, former manager of AS Monaco, who is pushing to obtain the signature of Maghnes Akliouche. But unsurprisingly, the media affirms that the Principality club should not agree to negotiate. The reigning French vice-champion does not wish to transfer one of his most prominent players since the start of the year.

PSG already failed

The Monegasque management could therefore set a completely dissuasive price just to keep the team away from the Premier League. As a reminder, Paris Saint-Germain also tried their luck for Maghnes Akliouche this summer. But AS Monaco was opposed to his departure and even convinced its player to extend his contract until 2028. It will be difficult to snatch the international Espoirs tricolor. Especially since his rating could well rise in the months to come if he continues to get closer to the A team, the selection he favored despite requests from Algeria, his country of origin.
