Mercato; Makélélé will train a former great hope of ASSE!

ASSE has encountered difficulties in developing attackers in recent seasons. Players are unable to make the transition to the professional world. The last offensive hope from Stéphane who failed to win in Green is called Darnell Bile.

Direction Greece for the former ASSE

Darnell Bile, striker born in 2005, will have left his mark at the training center. Thanks to his qualities on the field, first of all. Powerful, fast and with a big ball strike, the native of has an interesting profile. But unfortunately he was mainly noticed for behavioral problems. Kicked out of a gathering of the French U16 Team a few years ago, Bile made a name for himself again with the French U18 Team during the 2022-2023 season. Author of a dangerous tackle then a headbutt to his opponent during a match against Poland, he was suspended by the FFF for the rest of the season.

Despite these events and a bad reputation within the training center (where he no longer even slept in the months preceding his departure), ASSE had chosen to offer a professional contract to its young player. A contract that Bile, motivated by those around him, had refused. Since then, from Italy to Denmark but also in , the young striker has made numerous attempts, without much success. He ended up bouncing back with the U19s of Sport Clube Lusitania, whose flagship team plays in Portuguese D4.

Looking for a new club this summer, Bile had a trial at EA Guingamp. He ultimately did not sign up with the Ligue 2 team. Indeed, Foot Mercato tells us that the former Stéphanois will soon sign for Asteras Tripolis, a team coached by a certain Claude Makélélé. He is expected in Greece in the coming days to undergo his medical examination.
