A match obviously marked by the absence of Rodri, the Citizens’ star midfielder, who seriously injured his knee against Arsenal on Sunday. Since then, a very unfavorable verdict has been announced with a probable rupture of the cruciate ligaments, synonymous with a premature end to the season.
A diagnosis less severe than announced?
But surprise yesterday evening after the meeting where Pep Guardiola spoke on the subject. “We are going to lose Rodri for a long time”, first announced the Spanish manager, before nevertheless delivering a major piece of information. The diagnosis could ultimately turn out to be less serious than expected. “But some think it will be less than what we expected… We are waiting for the last phone calls and the type of operation he needs.
