Having arrived from AS Roma in 2022, Jordan Veretout packed his bags to leave OM this summer. The French international didn’t want to commit to just anywhere and so he rejected some offers before finally landing at OL. A follower of OM all year, journalist Karim Attab will have fond memories of it.
Quickly removed from the professional group upon the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi, Jordan Veretout was asked to find a new challenge. At 31, he wanted more of a sporting challenge than to go to an exotic destination to earn money. Veretout has therefore joined OL and leaves a very good memory in the Marseille locker room as well as in the local press as confided Karim Attab.

” In the locker room, things were going pretty well. He was liked and respected. He didn’t hesitate to speak up. He’s more of a locker room executive than a manager on the pitch. He wasn’t someone who talked a lot, but within the group, when he had things to say, he said them. He’s a player who, for me, will leave a good memory. He had two interesting seasons. Overall, there are people who are divided about him. There are some who would have liked to see him be more decisive. He was responsible for set pieces for example.
