The Catalan team was already able to register the player

Barcelona have finally signed Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo to LaLiga, meaning the player will be available to coach Hansi Flick for Tuesday’s match at the Estadio de Vallecas against Rayo.

The Spanish international, Barça’s star signing in the summer transfer market, was unable to play in the first two games of the championship against Valencia and Athletic Club due to financial fair play.

In order to lighten the wage bill and alleviate its delicate financial situation, Barcelona announced in recent days the transfers of Ilkay Gündogan to Manchester City and reserve team defender Mikayil Faye to Rennes, and the loans of Clément Lenglet to Atlético de Madrid and Vitor Roque to Betis.

The signing also comes after LaLiga granted long-term leave to Andreas Christensen following “a tendinopathy in the left Achilles tendon” that he suffered in a training session prior to the match against Athletic Bilbao.

Olmo, a 26-year-old La Masia-trained player, played for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb and German side RB Leipzig before returning to Barça this summer as European champions, after playing a leading role with the Spanish national team at the European Championship in Germany.
