Auch Bayern-Trainer Vincent Kompany zeigte sich angetan von der Klasse des 25-Jährigen: „Marmoush hat große Qualitäten. Natürlich wollten wir etwas dagegen unternehmen, aber solche Spieler wissen, was sie machen müssen und nutzen ihre Momente.“
Kompany begeisterte sich insbesondere für die Szene vor dem Frankfurter Treffer zum zwischenzeitlichen 2:1 in der 35. Minute durch Hugo Ekitiké, den Marmoush vorbereitete: „Was er da macht, ist eigentlich nicht normal“, sagte Kompany. „Sich mit Kraft gegen Upa (Dayot Upamecano, d. Red.) durchzusetzen: das hat noch keiner mit Upa gemacht in dieser Saison“, sagte der Bayern-Trainer und lobte Marmoushs Fähigkeit, „am Ende die richtige Entscheidung zu treffen“ und die „Qualität im Abschluss und die Geschwindigkeit“ des Frankfurter Angreifers.
„Wie eine Familie“
Der im Sommer 2023 vom VfL Wolfsburg ablösefrei an den Main gewechselte Angreifer erweist sich für die Eintracht zunehmend als Glücksgriff. Schon in der Vorsaison erzielte Marmoush 17 Pflichtspieltreffer für die Frankfurter, zwölf davon in der Bundesliga. Diese Marke dürfte er in dieser Spielzeit locker toppen.

One of the secrets to success is probably the feel-good factor. “It’s a lot of fun. We are like a family. We’re all celebrating together as a team, even those who didn’t play,” said Marmoush after the Bayern game. That was also the reason why the lightning-fast attacker remained loyal to Eintracht in the summer despite several offers from England.
With his two goals against the league leaders, Marmoush may have further increased his market value. Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller has no illusions. “It’s unbelievable what he’s bringing to the pitch right now. If he continues to perform like this, it is clear that other clubs will be on the mat,” said the 43-year-old.

For now, the Frankfurt team can still enjoy their top striker, whose contract runs until the summer of 2027. “Omar currently has the necessary focus and determination in front of goal,” said the satisfied sports director Markus Krösche and confirmed: “He is currently one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga.
