Following Sunday’s surprise lack of goals in , Tuesday’d Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

⚽️ Borussia Dortmund vs Celtic

???????? Champions League

⏰ Tuesday 1 October, 20:00

After both beginning their Champions League campaigns with an emphatic victory on MD1, Borussia Dortmund welcome Celtic to the BVB Stadion Dortmund this evening in a fixture that appeals to me for goals

Nuri Şahin’s hosts have scored 14 goals across their opening six Bundesliga and Champions League fixtures this campaign, with 10 (71%) of them coming at home.

The Black and Yellow have found the back of the net in all bar one of those six contests – notching on multiple occasions in four (67%) of them, including in 3/3 (100%) at home – and have the firepower to breach a Celtic backline that tends to struggle on their travels in Europe.

Brendan Rodgers’ visitors have slammed in an impressive 33 goals across their opening nine matches in all competitions this season, with 11 (33%) of them coming across their three away matches.

The Hoops have remarkably scored a minimum of two goals in all nine (100%) of those matches – even scoring three or more in seven (78%) of them – and possess a Dortmund backline that has looked vulnerable this season, shipping nine goals across their previous three Bundesliga matches.

Bet of the Day

Borussia Dortmund’s opening six Bundesliga and Champions League fixtures this season have averaged 3.83 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in each of their previous three Bundesliga contests – and given the same landed in Celtic’s Champions League opener – I’m happy to these two in-form attacks to produce a minimum of three strikes, with both getting on the scoresheet.
