Less than two weeks before the resumption of the Top 14, Union Bordeaux-Bègles announces a sharp increase in the number of subscribers for the upcoming season. There are already more than 17,000 who have reserved their place for the season at Chaban-Delmas.
The Bordelo-Béglais public needs no introduction. Among the very best in Europe for many years, the attendance of Union Bordeaux-Bègles should see further growth this season. In their Chaban-Delmas home, the Girondins announced that 17,328 supporters had already subscribed to watch their team’s matches for the upcoming season. A figure never seen before, which is a very significant increase compared to last season (12,096 subscribers). This is even the largest increase in the club’s history. Now, UBB has more subscribers than there is room in many Top 14 stadiums. As a reminder, the Chaban-Delmas stadium has a capacity of 32,000 seats.
The renovation of the bend is completed
A higher capacity than last season since the renovation of the top of the north bend is now complete. This part of the stadium will be named Virage Edenauto. Last season, UBB played twelve of its matches to sold-out crowds and had a 92% occupancy rate. This attendance carried the Girondins to the Top 14 final. Will they aim even higher this year?
