Initially presented under the name Assassin's Creed Infinity before being renamed Animus Hub, the Ubisoft platform which should bring together all the games in the franchise has just leaked.
Assassin's Creed Hub on the Run
While the company obviously has big ambitions for its Hub, we didn't really know what to expect until this leak which shows something very similar to what Activision is doing with the Call of Duty franchise. .
In a leaked video, since deleted, we could see that it is possible to launch the different games in the license via an interface which somewhat resembles the chronological memory sequences of the first games.
The screenshots below allow you to get an idea of its overall appearance, with the added bonus of the store, as well as the “projects”, which will obviously allow you to unlock more content. Here we are dealing with something that could resemble battle passes with monthly and weekly rewards to unlock.
Just a launcher and a store?
Generally speaking, it is in a way the store initially present in the different Assassin's Creed games which seems to be centralized in this Hub. According to other leaks, the portal must also be the scene of events taking place in the “present”, without we necessarily yet really knowing what to expect.
-On the other hand, we hope that this Hub will not be just another launcher, particularly on PC, which will further complicate the lives of players who simply want to play their game quickly and without hassle. It's also difficult to know how the Animus Hub will manage the games you own on Steam or Ubisoft Connect, as well as backups.
The latest news is that the Animus Hub is due to be launched at the same time as Assassin's Creed Shadows on March 20 and we imagine that Ubisoft will therefore make a global presentation ahead of the launch.
