This was an expected announcement, given the weather conditions this weekend. There Normandy Football League and the Channel Football District have decided to postpone all meetings planned between the Friday January 24 and Sunday January 26, 2025.
“Due to the weather conditions of recent days, the forecast for this weekend, as well as the very large number of municipal decrees making the pitches impassable, the Normandy Football League is postponing the regional matches scheduled for Friday, January 24 to Sunday January 26, 2025 inclusive. To avoid significant differences in the number of matches played in the different championships, matches on synthetic pitches are also postponed,” announced the regional body.
Only national level matches are maintained
The Manche District took the same decision regarding meetings of departmental level.
-Only matches of national level are not affected by these reports.
The municipality of Granville having closed its grounds, the match between USG and Blois, in National 2, has however been postponed. Saint-Lô – Plabennec in National 3, Avranches – Angers in U19 and Avranches – Rennes in U17, should therefore be the only matches played in the Channel this weekend.
