No serious injuries in Aix-en-Provence
The end of the match against Provence Rugby (18-24) led to two injuries on the Grenoble side. But nothing serious, in the end, for Gerswin Mouton (cramps) and Eric Escande (kick to the foot). The Namibian winger and the FCG Hérault scrum half returned to normal training this week.
Exits from the infirmary
Victim of a violent tackle against Montauban (35-15) on January 9, Victor Guillaumond was able to recover from his head concussion. The young 3rd row received the green light from the medical staff and was able to resume collective training. Having trouble with his adductors last week, scrum half Barnabé Couilloud is operational again. Like Guillaumond, he applied again for Pro D2.
Finally, center Romain Trouilloud, victim of a major ankle sprain in early December at Mont-de-Marsan, left the protective boot that surrounded his joint. The Isère center has resumed physical work.
Two Grenoblois in Marcoussis
Mathis Baret and Melvyn Rates, residents of the FCG training center, joined the National Rugby Center (CNR) in Marcoussis to participate in the last preparation course before the VI Nations Under-20 Tournament in 2025. Forty-five players, including the 3rd line and the Grenoble winger, are brought together for two weeks to clear the Bleuets group which will challenge Wales U20 (February 1 in Vannes), then England U20 (February 7 in Vannes).
-Grenoble – Provence 2 to 1
And the FCG lost in Aix-en-Provence last Friday in Pro D2 (18-24), the Grenoblois took their revenge on the Provençaux over the past weekend. The FCG junior Crabos (winners of Valence/Romans, 35-10) and the Alamercery cadets (47-13 against VRDR) finished their 1st championship phase in 1st place. These two teams beat their Provence Rugby counterparts, beaten at the same time in Toulon (13-20 in juniors and 27-29 in cadets).
