Brive: an ambitious project for a determined player
Trained at Aviron Bayonnais, Julien Tisseron joined Montpellier in 2020. Since then, he has distinguished himself by his ability to occupy several positions in the back lines, both on the wing and at the back. And even in the center!
With more than 150 professional matches to his credit, including nearly 100 in the Top 14he offers Brive solid experience and defensive reliability. Tisseron's choice to join Brive comes as the club seeks to consolidate its squad to quickly climb back into the Top 14.
Relegated to Pro D2, the CAB is giving itself the means to achieve its ambitions by attracting profiles capable of adapting to the demands of the high level. Tisseron, known for his rigor and commitment, seems to correspond perfectly to this philosophy.
A new challenge to take on
Winner of the Top 14 in 2022 and the Challenge Cup a year earlier, he knows Pro D2 well. As a reminder, he was titled with Bayonne in 2019. Season in which he played 26 matches including 21 as a starter.
This transfer also confirms Brive's ambition to rely on seasoned players to supervise its young talents. A strategy that could quickly bear fruit. As a reminder, the CAB will lose Léo Carbonneau but will be able to count on the Irishman Cooney.
