Chairman of the board of directors since 2021, Ilube has been facing the revolt of clubs for several weeks, with strong winds against the remuneration system put in place for the federal staff. In question, in particular, the “long-term incentive plan” (LTIP), supposed to recognize the salary sacrifices made during the Covid pandemic, which allowed general manager Bill Sweeney to obtain a bonus of 358,000 pounds (431 000 euros), according to the British press.
