The world of Rugby is in mourning. Tom Voyceformer England international, died at the age of 43 in terrible circumstances. The events occurred on Sunday December 8 in the county of Northumberland, in the north of England. That day, the sportsman was returning by car from an evening with friends while the Darragh storm
was raging.
Police say he tried to drive his car through Abberwick Ford, near the village of Bolton. Unfortunately, the vehicle would have been swept away by the current, due to the rising water level. Since then, the rugby player has been missing.

In a statement, Anna Voyce said:absolutely devastated and heartbroken” par the death of her husband. According to the BBCshe then wanted to thank all their friends, “many of whom came from far away” in order to participate in the research. Finally, the mother added: “My only concern now is our son Oscar, having done what he asked, 'finding daddy'”.
The rugby player had played for the England team
Born in January 1981 in Truro, Tom Voyce played for Bath and London Wasps during his career. Between 2001 and 2006, the athlete played as a three-quarter wing with
the England team. In 2013 he finally retired. After the death of the rugby player, his former clubs wanted to pay tribute to him.
For several years, Tom Voyce flourished as a coach within Alnwick Rugby Football Club. According to his wife, he was “much appreciated by Oscar's seven-year-old team, which he coached with enthusiasm, giving back to the game that he had given so much”. A passion that he passed on to his son, who was “extremely proud of his dad”.
