A gala match that brought together legends of African football was organized on Monday at the El Harti stadium in Marrakech, within the framework of the CAF Awards-2024.
Participating in this match were players from the Moroccan team that participated in the 1986 and 1998 World Cups and the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, the coach of the women’s team, Jorge Vilda, the Senegalese star Khalilou Fadiga, the Egyptian star Mohamed Zidan and Moroccan stars Tarik Sektioui and Nabil Baha.
At the end of this meeting, the Senegalese legend El-Hadji Diouf stressed that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, has all the means and offers all the conditions to successfully organize the largest sporting events.
For his part, Mohamed Zidan noted that the previous CAF Awards ceremonies organized in Morocco had been a resounding success, adding that this year’s competition for the awards that reward excellence in African football was “fierce.” and exciting.”
For his part, former Moroccan star Ahmed Bahja pointed out that the Kingdom of Morocco has always known how to organize sporting events of the highest level.
In this sense, he affirmed that the Kingdom has all the means and assets to guarantee the success of the CAN-2025 and the 2030 World Cup.
