Winter is approaching and we need comfort! By coincidence, it was very recently that two pastry shops – tea rooms chose to open their doors in Toulon. And if the two brands have two very similar names, each cultivates its own identity.
The Treats of JéJé by Estelle
This is a first for Estelle Gougginsperg! Having her own business, she had been toying with the idea for a long time, it is now a done deal. Since the beginning of October, she has been offering her pastries, candies and chocolates on rue Seillon. The young woman makes everything at home and lets her creativity speak (special mention to the caramel-nougatine shortbread!). Soups, croque-monsieur, quiches and even a ready meal are also in the windows every lunchtime.
All to eat on site (the premises are small but still offer a few seats) or to take away. Estelle also offers its customers the possibility of choosing personalized cakes for events.
18 rue Seillon. Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Gluttony
In Saint-Jean-du-Var, we are more used to seeing fast food restaurants opening their doors. Othmane Znaidi wanted to change the situation. Already the owner of a snack bar nearby, he is thus broadening his professional scope. And the turn is striking. At La Gourmandise, the decoration, all pink and flowers, is girly and cozy. The concept is simple: offer breakfast, snack and brunch options. From pastries to milkshakes, including pancakes and bubble waffles or all kinds of pastries, there is something to enjoy!
162, boulevard Maréchal Joffre. Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
