Selected to compete in the national final of the Neighborhood and Countryside Tournament in the prestigious setting of the National Center in Marcoussis, the RC Mirepoix U10s won their category.

They did it. Engaged in the final of the National Neighborhood and Countryside Tournament, the young people from RC Mirepoix return from the National Rugby Center in Marcoussis with the Trophy. An unforgettable experience. After regional selections, 27 teams are brought together in the temple of French rugby. An operation initiated by the FFR and TotalEnergies which combines rugby and citizenship. “We not only have a sporting role but also an educational role” explains Florian Grill, president of the FFR. Rugby workshops, citizen workshops, the children of each team (six children including two girls) have a blast. While some are on the ground, others are at the Marcoussis auditorium for a theater workshop, others at the first aid workshop. There are even some busy around a yoke to practice pushing in melee. “They were able to see the strength they had” laughs Nicolas Comte, the director of the Mirepoix rugby school. The young people from Ariège were even able to show their mascot, a teddy bear dressed in the RCM jersey, around the Marcoussis CNR. “They went through almost every room. » And as there always needs to be a winner, history will record that the M10s of RC Mirapicien XV and the M12s of CRAB XV () lifted the trophy in their respective categories. The Ariégeois dismissed , , Evreux and Montceau Bourgogne to clear the path to the title. “We wanted to thank the Ariège departmental rugby committee which helped us finance the trip,” continues Nicolas Comte. A big thank you also to our two educators, Manu Menneboeuf and Thierry Kupiec who accompanied the children during their stay. »
Zoé Kupiec, Marta Alcaraz-Prior, Baptiste Pech, Noah Jakowlen-Martin, Milan Castell and Tony Soules will long remember their little getaway to the CNR in Marcoussis.
