This Tuesday, Usap formalized the arrival of New Zealand third row Max Hicks (25 years old). The New Zealander has signed a contract with the Catalan club until 2026 and is arriving with immediate effect. He will participate in his first training session in Catalonia this Wednesday.
Perpignan strengthens its front eight. This Tuesday, the Catalan club made official on its social networks the arrival with immediate effect of Max Hicks. The New Zealander can play in the third row but also in the cage. Last season, with the Otago Highlanders in Super Rugby, Hicks took part in seven matches: four with the number 5 in the back and one with the number 6 (and twice as a substitute).
The one who also wore the Maori All Blacks jersey is committed to Catalonia until 2026. He still arrives this November at his new club, which also specified on its social networks that Hicks was going to participate in his first training this Wednesday.
The versatile forward will notably aim to make people forget the absences for long months due to injuries to Jacobus Van Tonder and Posolo Tuilagi, among others.
