Courted by Toulouse, the international three-quarter center Yoram Moefana has, according to our information, decided to continue the adventure in Gironde.
As reported in these columns on Friday, the Yoram Moefana case – whose current contract expires next June – was one of the hottest on the market in recent weeks. While his club had made his extension a priority, the player was sensitive to approaches from Stade Toulousain, where the staff was attracted by his profile and where he was even recently received. However, and according to our information, the French international (24 years old; 28 caps) has finally decided to continue the adventure in Gironde, where he arrived in 2019 from Colomiers. Indeed, despite some time for reflection, he has now made his decision and made it known to the main parties concerned. The agreement has therefore been reached for an extension with his managers, who had been optimistic about his case in recent days.
Why did Moefana choose continuity? Firstly, because he is aware of being a leader of the UBB three-quarter line, where his association with Nicolas Depoortère is wreaking havoc in the centre of the attack; then, because his manager Yannick Bru intends to make him an absolutely central element of his medium and long-term project. This is good news for president Laurent Marti, who will keep one of his Blues and who should soon resume negotiations with his fly-half Matthieu Jalibert.
