For their part, the juniors of Sierra Leone enjoyed an equally good run which they concluded with a great success in the semi-final against Gambia (3-0) and thus depriving them of a third unprecedented qualification in their history at the CAN in the category.
More than two years after the trophy obtained in 2022 at the Stade Cheikhna Boidya in Nouakchott, Senegal is aiming for a second consecutive trophy. While waiting to win back the African trophy during the next CAN in the category scheduled for this year in a country to be designated by CAF.
