LThe earthquake occurred at around 6:11 a.m. local time in Portugal and Spain, and caused tremors in seven Spanish autonomous communities, including Andalusia, Galicia, Extremadura, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, Asturias, and even Madrid.

In Andalusia, the province of Huelva was particularly affected, with tremors felt in towns such as Jabugo, Cortegana, and San Juan del Puerto. Other regions, such as Galicia, also reported noticeable movements, particularly in the provinces of Orense, Pontevedra and Coruña.

This seismic phenomenon was also felt in Morocco, particularly in Casablanca, although less intensely. No damage has been reported so far.
